Shipping Times
Japan Imported Products: Averaging 10-21 business days. Each product ships directly from Japan, to the JapDirect New Zealand Warehouse - often sourced from either small, large, busy or specialized manufacturers with limited production schedules. Please note, a business day is any day that is not a weekend (Saturday or Sunday) or a public holiday.
Orders That Include Japan-imported Products: These are processed within 2-3 business days with the supplier once your order is placed. Please note that items may be out of stock or subject to delays, without notice. We will aim to have your order from Japan to our warehouse within 10-14 business days, after which it will be shipped from JapDirect to you.
In-stock Items: If an item is already in our warehouse, it will be shipped within 1-2 business days.
Tracking: Since some of listed products are sent directly from Japan via our suppliers, tracking may not always be available. Rest assured, we’ll keep you updated on your order and notify you once it’s on its way, landed and sent.
Please remember that shipping times can change at any time, and we’re unable to guarantee exact dates.
Made-to-Order Products
There are some JapDirect listings and products that are made-to-order, including Kurts JZ Customs items.
Estimated shipping times may not always be displayed on the product page, some of our products are 'Japan Imported Products' that are averaging 10-14 business days. Shipping times can change at any time, and we’re unable to guarantee exact dates until the shipment has landed in your destination country.
Shipping Costs
Shipping fees are calculated at checkout.
Some larger or fragile items may require special freight but we will ensure that we handle this carefully to protect your parts.
International Orders
JapDirect does ship internationally, if your country is not listed please contact us directly and we will create a custom order for you.
Import duties, customs fees, or taxes may apply for international deliveries. These are the responsibility of the buyer, and in some cases certain fees may be charged directly to JapDirect in which will need to be paid by the customer prior to the release of the item.
Packaging & Handling
Each item is carefully packaged via our supplier ready for its journey to you.
Fragile or large items may require and receive extra protection, so they arrive safely and ready to install, and in some cases certain packaging and handling fees may be charged directly to JapDirect in which will need to be paid by the customer prior to the release of the item or delivery of the item.
Lost / Damaged Shipments
Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.
If items are lost or damaged during transit, please note that the responsibility lies with the courier or shipping provider. You may need to make any claim(s) directly through them.
For lost or damaged items, you can still contact JapDirect with photos and your order number, and we can try assist in facilitating communication with the supplier or courier to the best of our abilities, but some delays may occur due to language barriers or supplier processes in Japan.
